Gratitude

I just wanted to email a thank-you. There's a lot of stigma and judgement about the "quality" of people who find themselves food-insecure and it's often hard for people to reach out asking for help.

You guys make it easier by your process and friendly nature. While it's still hard to do (darn my sinful pride) it's not painful with your organization.

Moses Hears God's Call

It was early on a beautiful autumn Saturday morning as we were joined by a team of young adults from Columbus to help with today’s produce distribution. We had just finished loading my truck to begin doing home deliveries and I was joined by one of these young adults to ride-along.

His name was Moses.

We Met Jesus Carrying Baskets of Food

My new friend, Mary Lee, and I took to the roads to deliver food to two large apartment complexes. On this visit, I was able to reconnect with several children I'd met over the past several months. One of the boys watched me intently as I packed baskets of food to give out to our friends in the building.

The boy eased his way into a conversation with me and our new friendship was kindled. The discussion flowed easily and he decided to hang out with us for more than an hour. During this time, he asked many questions as he watched me pack baskets with food...
