“WOW! The box today with the dairy was astonishing. You guys have blessed my family so much and this month was beyond. I cannot thank you enough. You're usually a huge help but this month was especially generous. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless!”

“My friend and I are both thankful for what we got yesterday. I'm able to make a couple of vegetarian recipes using what I got. Yesterday, I was also able to make a couple of cheese subs. I love the veggies because I get it home and then I end up making things I haven't eaten in quite a while, things I forgot I knew how to make. I got one huge zucchini. I'm making one of my departed husband’s favorites with it. Zucchini stew. Zucchini, onions, corn and home canned tomatoes. It is a great light summer meal. I do eat meat, but I'm glad I know how to cook vegetarian. While the cost of meat is so high, I can leave it for those with bigger grocery budgets. So thankful to Matthew 25 Outreach Center!”

“God bless you for the delivery of produce. Thank you so much. It caught the attention of my neighbors so I told them how to get it!”

“I started coming here… struggling with food… being on my own… and then, ahh, on July 4th my brother passed away of cancer…

So, money has been tight lately — getting food, paying for his funeral costs, and all that — you guys helped quite a bit. Jeff has helped quite a bit. If it weren’t for him, I probably wouldn’t have gotten food sometimes (because he delivered to the house). It’s helped quite a bit, especially with two babies of my own. So, everyone treats you like family. Like Jeff, I was a stranger and he’s basically kinda like family now. He’s there when I need someone to talk to, he helps me with the food, so we have all grown as family.”

“Well, if a person is having a bad day, I think by the time they get through the line they will be doing better…

Because, you know, we’re encouraged to talk to people and be friendly… and show some love. And a lot of times… you know… you can feel bad. Then, you go to a place where you have this friendliness, this closeness, and this warmth that comes from a true concerned person.

You know… it just breaks through those barriers that you are trying to hold.

Matthew Outreach, I think, is a very good thing. Jeff is a splendid, outstanding Christian. I love him, you know, he is a great guy and I just love how he has put this thing together to help people… and it’s really organized.

I’ve never seen a distribution center like this organized the way it is. It is getting better all the time. And I think, just coming out, you’ll see Jeff [or one of the volunteers] helping you load groceries in your car, talking to you at the same time, being friendly, and witnessing to you if you need witnessed to… even praying for you if you need prayer.

How can you beat that? I mean, it blesses people. You know, the Bible talks about how you don’t tell a person “be blessed” and then, “see you later,” if you’ve got the means to help them.

So, people come out here to get a chance to be blessed with food and blessed with spiritual cleanliness and testimony and prayer… you know… yeah, I love it. I think it has great value. I haven’t seen one like it.”

“As a youth group, we were looking for an organization that we could just jump right into and be a part of. I was looking for something where we could have an immediate impact so the kids could see right away the influence that they’re having… the changes they could make in the world. You could see right away that these students loved to be here… loved interacting with the people. They’re inviting their friends and, even better yet, I am starting to see them invite their families. So now they’re starting to serve with their moms… starting to serve with their dads. I’ve had one student who came here who just had shoulder surgery… wasn’t able to do a whole lot, but just wanted to be here and do whatever he could. And he found himself being prayed for by the people he was serving. So, he came here thinking he was going to serve them and yet he was actually greatly blessed and prayed for while he was here. And I know for that particular student, he was blown away by it.”
