We knew the weather was going to be bitterly cold on produce distribution Saturday morning (Jan. 7, 2017)...
and contemplated if we should postpone the food distribution until the following Saturday, when the weather forecast was to be much warmer.
Then the phone rang... an elderly woman asked: “Are you still doing produce distribution this Saturday? We are almost out of food and could really use your help.”
The decision was easy – our produce distribution must go on! Even though we would be facing a bitterly cold temperature of -11 degree wind chills, we would only be dealing with this for a few hours.
We count our blessings and charge onward.
